Nevache
The small village of Névache is the most northerly in the Southern Alps. Its 300 inhabitants and its preserved heritage of chapels, churches and even sundials make it a quiet and authentic place, just like the valleys that surround it. In summer, the territory of Névache, classified as a Natural Site... since 1992, is a paradise for hikers and cyclists, but also for fishermen thanks to its numerous high altitude lakes and the Clarée river which gives its name to the valley. In winter, 45 km of cross-country ski trails and 20 km of shared Nordic itineraries make it a choice destination for skiing or snowshoeing.
